This year we are pleased to announce our series of Intro Tournaments at Beaufort Polo Club.

These are Novices matches to continue with the progression and development of our new and younger players sponsored kindly by RJ Polo. They will be of roughly 0-2 goal level with one pro/coach per team and an umpire.

Teams or individuals must enter the Monday before the weekend of the tournament.

The games will run EITHER both days but generally one day of the weekend this will depend simply on numbers and availability.

Costs are £250 per person for a member and £300 for a non member.

Dates can be found on the fixture list live on the Beaufort Website.

Limited Ponies are available for hire.

Please contact Olivia for any further information -

Hope to welcome you on the pitch soon !

Olivia & Team

I have based my pointers this season right beside the Didmarton Point to point course with David Fitch-Peyton.

So far from 5 runners we have had 3 winners and a 5th . A strike rate of 60% ! Bound For Glory at Cottenham and Forrardon Xmoor at both Ampton and Buckfasteleigh .
Koala Keel runs in a fillies maiden at Garnons the following weekend 6th March . It is her first visit to a racecourse so will be a massive  learning curve for both her and us . She hunts regularly and I have produced her from a yearling so I would hope it won't be too much of a shock but we shall see . She is a nicely bred filly from the family of the famous Relkeel.

David and I had a trip to Doncaster Bloodstock Sales and came back with two flashy fillies one by Black Sam Bellamy and the other by Passing Glance . They are both strong types who move well out of winning mares and we look forward to their futures .
I am still working on regaining my licence after my accident and when I do I will ride the beautiful Rhythm Star . She is a multiple winner with the most special of lovely characters and will run in an open or a novice riders .
If you have any enquiries either for the stud or racehorse training do pop up for a visit we would love to meet you !

Please help us raise money for The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, Middlesex

Please help us raise money for The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, Middlesex

2016 was filled with highs and lows. On April 23rd, my daughter, Olivia, had a horse riding accident at Parham Race Course. The news was devastating, she had broken her back in two places. The first 24 hours were agonising, would my beautiful Olivia, ever walk again? Having been stretchered off the race course, she was admitted to the Royal Sussex Hospital. Her condition was acute and specialist care was essential.

After much consultation, it was decided there was only one place for her to be: The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, Middlesex, one of the top orthopedic hospitals in the world. 48 hours later she underwent life changing surgery. It took a distinguished orthopaedic surgeon eight hours (and a good deal of metal work ) to mend my broken girl. The skill, expertise, care and devotion Olivia received whilst at RNOH was unparalleled.

We can never fully repay the team at RNOH. I will always be indebted. Olivia thought she may never walk or ride again. Miraculously, she does both. On April 22nd I will be joining ( hopefully Olivia will too ) the Cyclezone Studio at Westminster Lodge St Albans for an eight hour indoor cycling challenge; raising money for The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital.

Help me, help the RNOH continue their work - enabling professional jockeys, polo players, and anyone who has had or will have similar potentially life changing injuries as Olivia did. Please join me for ICYCLE8 ( bikes are available) or sponsor me using my virgin money page.

Thank you all for your support,

Grainne Lamphee xx

1st June 2016

Hi all ,

I have moved five of my first playing string ponies to The Beaufort Polo Club . They are currently playing some good practices as were short of competitive polo , becoming super fresh but now behaviour is improving daily ! They are looking stunning and a lot fitter for their exertions .

They will be playing the 6 goal with Ed Banner Eve this Friday at the Beaufort if anyone is around do pop along and say hello.

On a personal note do look at this months Polo Times where my dear friend Lucy Wilson has included a photograph of my spinal surgery . I strongly believe if this sort of injury had occurred even 10 years ago I wouldn't be walking so trying to stay grateful and positive if not a little jealous of everyone playing !

Any questions or comments do contact me.

All the best for this week to both you are your equine pals .

A small selection of ponies are for sale and ready to be tried ....

Watch this space for updates and do get in touch if you have any enquiries or comments regarding our services ,
