Please help us raise money for The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, Middlesex
2016 was filled with highs and lows. On April 23rd, my daughter, Olivia, had a horse riding accident at Parham Race Course. The news was devastating, she had broken her back in two places. The first 24 hours were agonising, would my beautiful Olivia, ever walk again? Having been stretchered off the race course, she was admitted to the Royal Sussex Hospital. Her condition was acute and specialist care was essential.
After much consultation, it was decided there was only one place for her to be: The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, Middlesex, one of the top orthopedic hospitals in the world. 48 hours later she underwent life changing surgery. It took a distinguished orthopaedic surgeon eight hours (and a good deal of metal work ) to mend my broken girl. The skill, expertise, care and devotion Olivia received whilst at RNOH was unparalleled.
We can never fully repay the team at RNOH. I will always be indebted. Olivia thought she may never walk or ride again. Miraculously, she does both. On April 22nd I will be joining ( hopefully Olivia will too ) the Cyclezone Studio at Westminster Lodge St Albans for an eight hour indoor cycling challenge; raising money for The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital.
Help me, help the RNOH continue their work - enabling professional jockeys, polo players, and anyone who has had or will have similar potentially life changing injuries as Olivia did. Please join me for ICYCLE8 ( bikes are available) or sponsor me using my virgin money page.
Thank you all for your support,
Grainne Lamphee xx
